Branko – SDDS

GC favourite and Enchufada founder Branko is launching a second Enchufada Na Zona compilation. Today he kicks things off with his own single ‘SDDS’. It is a reflective and warm slice of the global club music he is so well known for.

The compilation drops on July 10th and includes a selection of original music, edits and remixes, all created during quarantine from home studios in Lisbon, Accra, São Paulo, London or Paris. Looking forward to hearing it

Branko // Let Me Go (feat. Nonku Phiri & Mr. Carmack)

Burake Som Sistema co-founder Branko has given us the first taste of his upcoming long-player Atlas with this first single ‘Let Me Go’. On this track he brings his global club influences together with Capetonian singer Nonku Phiri and L.A. beatmaker Mr. Carmack to create a genre-crossing blend of Zouk bass and R&B. Lush strings and a beautiful vocal sit on top of bubbling synth bass and disjointed zouk beats. Its a smooth and relaxing track that we will definitely be playing out over the hotter summer evenings.

Keep your eyes on Enchufada for the full release this September. Until then check out our other favourite label-mate release from Swick & Lewis Cancut.

Swick & Lewis CanCut // Fizzy

Melbourne-based producers/collaborators Swick & Lewis CanCut are releasing a series of EPs on one of our favourite record labels, Enchufada. This is obviously bloody exciting news. Especially since the duo will be exploring their shared love of African rhythms and global club culture.

On ‘Fizzy’ the sounds of a tropical rave build up to a dizzying height before coming crashing down with trademark thumping beats and screwy synths. One the perfect antidote to another. This is definitely a track we will have on rotation this summer.

Make sure to check out the dancehall influenced B side and keep your eyes on Enchufada for more.
