Oscar King // Bring It All Back

This debut single from new artist and multi-instrumentalist Oscar King and his collaborator is a darkly synthesized slow jam that keeps you coming back.

King’s atmospheric soundscape and smooth vocals has already drawn comparisons to Banks, James Blake and FKA Twigs. His ever shifting sound twists and turns much like the identity of the man himself. This first track is surely the start of a special project from King with much more to come in the future.

Hiskind calls it a ‘highlight amid the dark electro-pop landscape’ and we have to agree.

Tuxedo // July

The best news in this overflowing river of bad news is that Tuxedo are back in business! Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One have dropped a short and sweet EP of their signature boogie bangers. We love the title track ‘Fux With The Tux’ (obviously) but at the same time we can’t resist a good old slow jam. So here is the hot ‘July’. Check out the whole EP.

One of our favourite tracks from this year is the acronym banger ‘I.D.C.B.U’ from producer SIBA. Sitting somewhere between 90s pop and silvery electronic experimentalism it is a tune we can’t escape from. He doesn’t care about you but we care about this track, especially the blood curdling shrieks that break up the bass. 2016’s answer to the water droplet and bed spring effects perhaps?
