Now Playing … 15th July Edition

Here are some of the tracks we’ve been enjoying over the past week, including:

The luxuriously funky ‘Aber’ from Swedish artist Tobtok is creating a real buzz with it’s summery vibe combined with exciting electronic layering. The Swede just keeps on delivering and we keep buying stock in rise up the musical ladder.

Another Swedish addition here with Osmo’s ‘Le parc’. This track is seriously funky whilst channeling other acts such as Todd Terje in the pure joy it emotes. ‘Le parc’ is perfect for any environment and is sure to get you out of bed in the morning with a smile on your face!

Funk seems to be a common theme this week and ‘Mesmerized’ by OpenEyes is no different. This song feels like it belongs in the 70’s with a clear Earth, Wind and Fire vibe. The vocals are silky smooth and complement the clean instrumentals. There is so much pleasure in listening to this song!

These are some tracks we’ve been listening to and enjoying over the past week, including:

Kelly Ann Corfield‘s lovely track ‘Sway’ really caught our attention with the silky smooth vocals and lovely guitar sound. We believe she has a really big future and if she keeps producing excellent chilled out vibes like this then there’s very little to stop her!

Another track which caught our attention is the old school remix of Andres Sierra’s ‘Maxed Out’ by Andree. The beat is deep and reminiscent of a younger Craig David which provides  Sierra’s vocals with an excellent accompaniment and the two appear to mix together wonderfully well.

The main vocal sample in Catching Flies‘ track ‘Change of Heart’ should be very familiar, it’s sampled from the  wonderful Cheryl Lynne and her disco classic ‘Got to Be Real’. This track does great justice to a classic voice with it’s reinterpretation as well as chilled out vibe. The beat combined with a great piano composition has lead  this to become a real favourite!

Swedish future superstar Bishat stuns with her song ‘Mine’. We think this song will have a serious impact on the musical landscape and it’s easy to see why! Her voice is seriously soulful and sounds even better when mixed with a wonderful beat, perfect for any mood and environment. We hope she keeps up the good work!

Enjoy the tracks, let us know what you’re loving and make sure to check out our playlist from last week.

Now Playing … 28th June Edition

These are some of the tracks that we’ve been listening to recently and enjoying featuring:

The fresh take of Chase Miles on the 90’s R&B classic ‘You’re the One’ by the ultra successful female group SWV (Sister’s With Voices). We’re loving the summery vibe of this song and this modern electronic revamp certainly does justice to the original. Another song we’re excited about is ‘Acid Symphony’ by ELZ. The Turkish singer, songwriter and producer combines with the vocals of Valley to provide self-conscious and haunting vocals and lyrics as well as downbeat minimalist feel make this song seriously atmospheric. US artist Kagwe takes a more experimental approach with his tune ‘afrognamedgrace’ but we love it all the same! There are so many different sounds going on from Japanese influences to more classical violin elements which combine to make a weirdly wonderful vibe.

Check them out along with many more below ….
